 What do you do?
I am an artist based in Ann Arbor, MI. I'm one of those who says "I've drawn since I was a kid" but I do hold an associate's in Fine Art and the rest being self taught. My primary focus is working with traditional medium. I enjoy drawing nature and animals, focusing on a sort of spiritual connection of life and death. I have been very fortunate to sell my work around the world through my Etsy and to be featured in author Kathe Koja's book The Mercury Waltz and to have originals displayed on set for CBS's Two Broke Girls.
How do you do it?
My favorite medium is color pencil, ink and marker on Bristol board. When I get ideas, it usually starts with a particular animal and grows from there. I enjoy incorporating plant and animal symbolism into my work to create something unique and to allow others to draw their own conclusions. My goal for the coming year is to try new and different kinds of paper to see what ideas I can come up with!
