Southern Colours Art Association is an active group of Georgia artists who met through a mutual interest in art. From just two artists painting together in 1995, they have evolved to a larger group which now meets weekly in Gwinnett County, GA, to paint. Southern Colours represents various mediums and many styles, each member contributing their own unique creative ability to the group. Through group critique, everyone has an opportunity to share their work and to mentor others who are beginning artists. Group shows provide the opportunity for expanded marketing, as well as giving newer artists a chance to spread their wings.
Southern Colours represents both studio and plein air painters, whose mediums include oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics, mixed media and sculpture.
