Morpho Gallery is featuring the art derived from biomedical genetics by Chicago artist Peter N. Gray. The works are designed to bring unique artistic perspectives of science into the realm of each person. What do the sex chromosomes look like? What genetic structure underlies a genetic anomaly, such as Fragile-X syndrome? Would androids with Artificial Intelligence have an appropriate genetic structure and would a metallic alteration, similar to a genetic mutation in human DNA, create a mutant android? The artist has technical experience in genetic engineering and applies this to metal sculptures and mixed media wall pieces.
