Artist's Statement
I'm interested in portraying the transitory nature of birds. They symbolize for me our spiritual side. I see birds as evocative of our elusive search for meaning.
I pull images out of the background, creating a blend of lost and found subjects. My design skills and my interest in textures are reflected in my approach. I enjoy layering different media to accomplish depth of tone and meaning. Primarily, I love to paint.
