The Full Moon event is best described as a tribute to sex, love, and romance. Taking place in both La Luna and Third Room, the joie de vivre happens one evening only: Thursday, February 1, 2007. This vintage atmosphered show will combine fashion, jazz, art, and European desserts to intrigue all five senses.
Beginning at 8 p.m., a display of black and white photography from Photo Clique members will express the essence of the romance cultures—French, Spanish, and Italian. The artwork will be displayed on matted prints as well as projections. Accompanying the the art show will be jazz music set for the night's genres and cultures, performed by a DJ in each room. At 10 p.m., La Luna welcomes the live sounds of Babik playing swing jazz inspired by the Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. A dessert table featuring specialties from local restaurants, dessert boutiques, and cafés will be generously provided. Periodic giveaways on the hour and half hour will offer a chance for lucky audience members to receive retail and service offerings from participating establishments. The music will keep building and take us through the night's highlight, a lingerie fashion show choreographed by Heather Russell and showcasing the the new spring lines of local retailers.
