How do we treat the life around us? What relationship do the lives and existences of the animals we share our planet with have to us? I n this exhibit, artists explore, explain, and expand their thoughts about animal life through drawings, paintings, video, sculpture, and words. Almost 40 artists from New Jersey and New York, as well as Boston, Chicago and LA. will be featured.
Curators Jill Scipione and Sandra DeSando invited artists whose work explores the significance of animals in a variety of ways. Some explore the mystery of the interconnectedness between people and animals. Animals can be a metaphor for or substitute for personal, inner expression, or can be a symbol that embodies a greater ideal. How we relate to and consider animals can parallel our attitude to the world in general, the creation, or the creator. Animals can be integral parts of our lives and consciousness.
